Frequently asked questions

How long do Consultations take?

Consultations typically take about 1 hour to complete.

How soon will I learn how much the Grant will be?

The exact amount of your Grant will be calculated once you have completed your consultation and the surgeon has provided you with your surgery plan.

To view your Grant amount, please refer to the Grant Payment Guide.

What if the grant doesn’t cover enough to make it affordable for me?

If the Grant is not sufficient enough to make your procedure affordable, you can inquire about third-party finance companies that specialize in personal loans for elective surgery. Third party finance companies typically charge higher rates of interest on their loans and require you to demonstrate sufficient income as well as a good credit score.

Conversely, it's possible that you may need to defer treatment until a time when your financial circumstances improve, or until you are able to prioritize personal resources toward the portion of the surgery you will be responsible for.

How soon until I can book my Surgery?

Once you are satisfied with the cost of the surgery plan and the amount of your Grant, you can provide the doctor with a deposit and book your surgery.

Can I get Competing Quotes from other Surgeons?

Depending on your location, we will provide you with several options from which to select a clinic that participates in our program.

How can I pay the Clinic for the part of the treatment not covered by the grant?

You can pay for your portion of the surgery using any usual method of payment such as credit card, debit card, or cash.

You may also qualify for funding from a third-party finance company. (subject to interest payments and a credit check)

You will not be able to use certain government sponsored forms of payment such as MediCal, MediCare, or Medicaid to cover any elements of your elective procedure however many basic dental procedures are covered by employer sponsored insurance programs.
